I embroidered some can toppers with my schmancy sewing machine.
Here they are all wrapped up and ready to pack off to Chicago and ship to other friends and family.
For the quilts, I responsibly selected the fabric and the pattern (from my exciting new book Farm Girl Vintage!) over the summer.
I then proceeded to:
A. Not make the quilts until the 11th hour.
and B. Not take one stinking picture of the finished quilts! The closest I have is this picture showing the back of one quilt and the binding being attached to another. Also, our cat, Rupert.
Total quilting fail. Apparently, that's my Christmas tradition, though, because it seems I also failed to take adequate pictures of last year's Christmas quilts. This is all that remains.
(Other than the quilts themselves, that is. Hopefully they still remain.)
I also made a couple of special quilts for my grandma and my mom. I made a hummingbird for my grandma.
Of course, I don't have a picture of the finished quilt because, well, it's a tradition. I did, however, get a few pictures of the quilt I made for my mom including this one of me making my very first prairie points!
So freaking cute. This is an Alice in Wonderland inspired quilt of my own design.
The backing is made from a vintage sheet.
Here's the finished front!
And here's to the first Christmas quilt I apparently ever took pictures of. Maybe next year. Sigh.
