Backyard Safari

We decided to take a bit of a nature walk while we were with my parents.

and after only about 15 minutes of picking through stickers we were all woefully covered with burs.

Dr. Scott, Baboon and a Tandem

Dr. Scott took a road trip this summer to visit my parents.

Also we took the baboon. Oh, and the tandem bike. Oh and, like, a whole lot of other stuff. On the way, we stopped at the Natural Bridge in AR.

Norman thought it was awesome, probably because he could (finally) get out of the car.

Our Garden Didn't Totally and Completely Die

While we were gallivanting around the world our irresponsible (ex) pet sitter let our garden die.  But there were a few plants (just) hardy enough to survive.  One of those was basil.

Schlitterpilgrimage

Every year we go to Schlitterbahn.  Well, every year except last year, that is.  So you can bet we were going to go this year.  Even if we had to get up at dawn and make sleepy, swimsuit-clad Eddy drive the whole way there so that we could make sure to be there right when they opened and not waste a moment of water park fun.

Dirty Dog

Norman has (mostly) abandoned his crazy puppy ways and is really turning into a (slightly more calm) sweet (not so) little guy. We've been taking him to the dog park a lot.

He has lots of friends there.

He does sometimes have naughty relapses, though.

Mostly these come in the form of getting filthy post-bath just when we are about to leave the house.
