Recently Eddy and I had the blues. See, part of the reason we bought a house was to live in a place with no white walls. Well, our bedroom and hallway were sort of blueish. But really, they were more a blue flavor of white.
So a few weekends ago we decided to abolish the blueish in favor of the blues.
You may think it looks nice now, but just look at this Stenklover I had to endure during the process.
Next up, the hallway. Then the dining room. Then the bathroom. Alright, maybe we are going a bit overboard here...

Why Our Neighborhood Is the Best Ever
Each year Lindale Park throws the best ever July 4th parade.
This year there were some old favorites like the Catillac.
Yep. That's an Elvis impersonator. There were also definitely some new favorites.
Even Norman Baboon enjoyed it!

DP^2 Wedding
Our DP^2 got hitched!
Also, they went all the way to Montepulciano to do it. We figured we should probably go too (even though it was a *huge* sacrifice on our part--going to Italy and all...)
Because, you know, we were basically roughing it at the gorgeous villa with the infinity edge pool that overlooked the rolling hills of Tuscany.
And they did get us a pretty sweet second floor room in the villa.
They treated us to lots of al fresco dinners with friends.
Congratulations DP^2! We hope you appreciate what a *huge* sacrifice it was for us twins!

TSFB Travel Crazy
About a millisecond after we got back from China, we turned around and headed out for Italy. Our first stop was Rome where we saw all of the usual touristy things. The Colosseo.
Yeah, I don't know about that second picture either. We saw the Pantheon as well.
And the Forum.
Finally, after many, many, many, many requests from Eddy we saw the Vatican.
We topped it off with a trip to the Spanish Steps.
Whew!

Stupid Things in a Foreign Country
You did not think we would visit a foreign country without doing some stupid things, did you?
Also, Chinese Corn Flakes.

Why We Did Not See the Great Wall
I won't beat around the bush. We really did not like Beijing too much. If you would like to know why, ask us why we didn't see the Great Wall... We did see quite a few other things while we were there, though. We saw Tiananmen Square.
And we went through to the Forbidden City.
We also saw the Llama Temple.
Complete with Llama.
Sadly, the most awesome thing that we did was the water cube--Aisia's largest water park. We didn't take any pictures because a cube of water is not the ideal place for a camera. However, you can witness the fallout--a pile of wet yuan.
