I'm traveling this weekend, so we will miss our MS150 training ride for the week! Here are some observations from last week's ride.
On our well-worn route, we like to stop at Froberg's Farm--it's every bit as awesome as the website makes it seem. There is a sausage store there that we always eye (and smell). Normally we discuss how we might use those little pockets on the back of our bike jerseys to bring sausages home from our ride.
This time we actually bought one. It was tasty. And enormous.
And we saw these awesome giraffes. In someone's yard.
Also, last week during our night with P.W. we saw an art bike exhibit hosted by none other than the MS 150. Feast your eyes on these beauties.
Happy weekend, all!

A Night with P.W.
Last Saturday night we once again took advantage of the Discovery Green outdoor movie series. But this time, we had company! Our friend Rebecca is the ultimate Pee-Wee Herman fan. Don't ask why, don't ask how. She just is.
So when she mentioned they were playing Pee-Wee's Big Adventure at Discovery Green, we were so in! So we whipped up WAY too much picnic food, set out our blankets and commenced outdoor revelry!

Tandem Tune Up
When we're not training or asking begging you for money, we're readying our MS150mobile for the upcoming ride. Our favorite bike store is Daniel Boone Cycles. The Cobbs gave us a gift certificate there for Xmas and we're hooked. There are no jerkety bike snobs on the staff and the place has character. This is helpful when you have to kill time while the friendly staff works on your tandem.
One can entertain oneself by appreciating their bike-related sculpture:
Also available in tandem flavor:
One can ponder their helpful signage:
or try desperately to pet the adorable litter of kittens they have right now:
The bike is almost ready to go and we can't wait for the ride in April!

Team Sunshine Fuzzy Bunny is Under Contract
We just made an offer on our dream bungalow! It is under contract now, so if all goes well, we will be moving in May to our very first house! Thanks so much to all of those who donated to our wedding registry in support of our first house. We couldn't be more excited!
Yipeeeee!

The Flat Tire Rodeo
Here we are blissfully hanging on the metrolink platform waiting to catch a train to the rodeo.
Then the tragedy occurred! As we boarded the train, I gave Eddy a major flat tire resulting in the complete breakage of his shoe! Sadly, our first stop at the rodeo this year was not the beer/fried food tent or even the AGventure Pavillion. Instead, we headed to first aid to bum some duct tape.
Thanks to our mutual engineering skills, the shoe held together for the rest of the day (Though it was uncomfortable. Sorry, dear!) After our shoe repair, we were off to enjoy the usual baby animals:
Not so baby animals:
and deep fried oatmeal cream pies:
Yeehaw!

Our Arbor Day
Last weekend before dropping Eddy at the airport for his California trip, we spent a little QT at the lovely Houston Arboretum.
Happy Friday, everyone! We will have much to report from this weekend. One hint: yeehaw!
