Beer and Stroopwafel

There are so many things we like about Portland so far. The best, though, is probably how nice people are here. Exhibit A: our very sweet Portland realtor was kind enough to invite us to the Dutch Festival in Portland this year!  We love cultural festivals, and this one was great!

Most importantly, there was beer.

Beer and stroopwafels. That's basically all I need to be happy. We also sampled patat en croquette.

And some herring!

We totally ate the weird-ish herring. After we ate it, we found out it was raw. NBD.

There was a gentleman making wooden clogs by hand. It was mesmerizing.

There was also dancing! That's us on the left there!

Thanks so much to our friend Clarity for showing us a good time one of our first weekends in Portland.  Folks are so nice here!
