Bathroom Reveal

Why is it that "bathroom reveal" sounds so inappropriate? Eww! Nevertheless, I will now reveal our new bathroom to you. Here is the old one.

Yeah, that one light bulb is out.  That's just how we roll around here.  I would tell you the story behind that, but it's probably boring.

This is my favorite.

Did I mention that we had a champagne toast in the bathroom when it was finally finished?

Canine Destruction

We used to have a kind of nice garden. Then we got two dogs. Nice garden:

We felt it was about time to reclaim the garden. Here's what it looks like now:

Yeah, well, Harry Potter chewed through one of our bougainvilleas. Sigh. Now we have this:

We also did the front yard.

And we made the dogs watch. So they'd know they are bad.

Just look at all the mulch we used that day!

The car was so full of mulch that Norman and I had to share the front seat on the way home from the Nursery.  P.S. He's way to big for that to work out.

Texas Safari

On our Couples' Retreat, we encountered lots of animal friends. I met these guys the first night we got there.

Then the next morning, this was the view out our window.

So we went out to be sociable. Eddy met this friend.

He also made friends with this dude.

Don't worry about me. I also got to pet horses.

The ranch also had birds

and bunnies.

Even Dr. Scott made some friends.

The most amazing thing we saw, though, was a cougar. The ranch owner goes out ever evening and puts a raw chicken up on a post.

Then we wait.

Couples Retreat

For Valentines Day this year, Eddy and I hit the road with Captain Duvet.

We ended up in rural Texas.

Where we stayed at the loveliest little cabin.

Which was magically filled with little love notes from Eddy.

And a sweet little old school kitchen.

We did homemade puzzles at a local bar.

And we obeyed the wisdom of this sign.

Especially when we visited Shiner.

We also consumed probably the best BBQ ever in Lockhart.

But mostly we just did lots and lots and lots of this.
